AeroSpec chooses EMC's VMWare, VNXe unified storage

CBR Staff Writer Published 10 November 2011

Replaces entire storage infrastructure

AeroSpec, which specialises in the design and manufacturing of lean automated and semi-automated production equipment, chose EMC's VNXe unified storage and VMware vSphere virtualisation offerings to improve its system performance, efficiency, simplicity and data availability.

It would be reportedly done with reduced operating costs in a completely virtualised private cloud infrastructure.

This partnership would help AeroSec improve its RoI, increased efficiency, increased simplicity and agility and improved performance.

AeroSpec reportedly selected EMC VNXe unified storage for its "no compromise" unified storage offering providing efficiency, capacity, performance and simplicity. AeroSpec has replaced its entire storage infrastructure with EMC VNXe, VMware vSphere and multicore servers while transitioning to a 100% virtualised IT environment.

Erich Becker, AeroSpec's Director, Information Systems, says, "With VNXe and VMware, I can create a test environment in one-minute. We've saved a ton of time and money on new equipment."
